Number 1: Not good enough

I’ve written three books, but today as I sat before the keyboard to start a new book I have been using every excuse not to begin, l sank into a feeling of inadequacy and was defeated by the thought, “I am not good enough to write this book.”  Instead of resisting the hard feeling I embraced it and gradually the self-defeat passed, and a better feeling replaced it that had me believing I could do it.  It worked.
